A Field Trip to the Ukrainian Museum!
On Saturday, November 23, students, teachers and parents from St. Volodymyr Ukrainian School visited the Ukrainian Museum of Canada Ontario Branch during a field trip to St.Volodymyr Institute. The group was hosted by Museum Director and Past President, Daria Diakowsky, along with intern Olena Vosnesenska, who guided the students through our current exhibition Making a Museum.

Daria and Olena provided an engaging tour of the Museum’s 80-year history, offering students, parents, and teachers a unique opportunity to learn about the Museum’s crucial role in preserving and sharing the cultural heritage of the Ukrainian community in Canada. As they explored the exhibition, the students were able to connect more deeply with their heritage, gaining insight into the experiences and contributions of Ukrainians in Canada.
In addition to visiting the Museum, the group also visited the Holodomor Commemorative Exhibit in the SVI theatre, and the Ukrainian Canadian Documentation and Research Centre (UCDRC). We warmly welcome groups of all ages, and invite schools and community organizations to visit us and explore our Museum. To arrange a group tour, please contact us.
